How to get AI Sounds in FSX

Featured Replies

Hi uh I would like to know how to get some sounds working for FSX ai aircraft... Right now it just plays some weird idle sound for whenever the engines are on... I tried putting in a Soundai folder but it just ignores it for some reason... I can't even get the default AI sounds back! cry.gif Help? huh.gif

Thanks! wink.gif

The sound it plays is in the the main sound folder, example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Sound

the name of the sound is "xai_lgjet01"

Your best bet is to run a repair. Or, if you don't want to risk screwing up the installation (this happened to me), you could install FSX again in a new folder, and then merge the new installation with your original one. This would retain any addons while returning all native FSX files to their default states.

Total Distance Flown: 65,141.138 Nautical Miles (In reality-------I don't have THAT much time to waste on FSX).
