Taxiways lights disappeared...

Featured Replies

Hi to all,

I've experienced a problem recently which has affected the Taxiway lights (Blue).

I've installed the Light_Fix available for download on Avsim which consist of:

  1. Replace fx_strobe.fx and fx_strobeh.fx in Effect folder with the supplied one in the zip file
  2. Replace fx2.bmp in Effect/Texture folder with supplied one in the zip file
  3. Replace halo.bmp in Texture folder with supplied one in the zip file
  4. Add in the FSX.CFG these lines:

    [DISPLAY]
    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.9 //Runway Lights
    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.9 // VASI Lights
    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.9 // Approach Bars
    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.9 // Strobes

  5. Did all the above replacements files by carefully making a backup of the original files

Every lights was working and good looking as expected except for the blue taxiways lights that were missing...

So I decided to "Undo" the mods by reversing the process and putting back my original files but the Taxiway lights wouldn't come back which I find very strange since I did not modify anything else along the process...also this is not the first time I did this mod (did it on previous installation in the past)

If someone has experienced this and know the causes or other config file to look around, I would appreciate a friendly share ;-)

Thanks

Solved.

Shame to me....Scenery complexity was set at "sparse". Got it back to normal.
