FS Meteo Still Alive?

Featured Replies

Dear Friends,The past week or so I notice that FS Meteo seems to be down and not running. (Servers #1 & #2 not working) I've contacted Marc at FS Meteo only to have my e-mails returned.Has he sold his company or gone out of business? Anybody know or heard anything? Many Thanks

Roadking,I'm flying across the pond with FS Meteo running now. The servers are running but I have no idea why your messages are being returned undelivered. I doubt he has sold out but it would be nice to have a forum where FSMeteo users could help each other. Whilst FSMeteo is a good product the customer service leaves something to be desired.Cheers,

Roadking,Which option are you using? I'm on "Default configuration" as I have broadband. Try the "Get world wx and stay offline".Cheers,

Glad you sorted the problem. Firewalls are great but they have a mind of their own. BTW, I'm using a great freeware one - ZoneAlarm www.zonelabs.com/store/content/catalog/products/sku_list_za.jsp?lid=nav_zaCheers,

I have NAV and NIS2004 as well and the way its set up is that it informs me whenever some program is trying to get access to the net.So the first time I run FSMeteo, NIS2004 (Norton Internet Security) askes me what I want to do.....and I tell it to allow FSMeteo to connect, and "Always Allow" FSMeteo to connect. The same thing happens when FS default weather tries to connect, or if I try to go on the web with the kneeboard, or if I try to use SBRelay, or Squakbox, or AVC or AVC tuner, or AIBridge, etc.Maybe your settings are too high....I have mine at the default level.Edit: I had a problem with FSMeteo recently where it tried to connect and froze, then told me that the version was out of date.I emailed Marc using the email address in the manuals, and he replied about 3 hours later telling me to simpy re-install it. So his email works. Also I used FSMeteo last night with no probs.

Anthony...Many thanks for your great tips....I'm now re-checking all my settings as per your suggestion and am making new adjustmets.Apprecite your kind comments....
