Received an older computer from a friend and these are the specs.

ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2

-Intel® Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67 GHz

8 gigs of RAM and 500 gig disk space

I know very little about computers so if someone could comment on how this system would handle FSX that would be great!!

All The Best

Brad

It will do alright, but you'll want to overclock the CPU dramatically if you would like to run high settings and add-ons like complex planes, airports, traffic, and weather. I have a customer that has an i7 930 which was built a couple years ago and overclocked to 4.4GHz, a healthy 50%. At this point in time it is no longer adequate for his needs, so we will be upgrading to an i5 3570K and overclocking to 4.5GHz or better.
