July 24, 201213 yr See! See!! I TOLD you pilots and mechanics did things like that! My RV had a heavy right wing. It would still drop, even with full trim tab, although stick forces to keep it level were light. Turns out, the trailing edge of the left aileron, was just a "wee" bit thicker than the right. It just took a hair of flattening to make everything perfect. Cessna, for example, has an adjustable cam connected to the rear wing spar.........to level it out, if required during the test flight. When we build planes, we use levels, plumb bobs, lines on the floor, etc, to get everything as accurate as possible. Even the wheel pants have to be in perfect alignment with the air stream, or you'll get yaw.
