June 7, 200421 yr Hi,Have you ever lost your afterburner effects and couldn't work out why? This happened to me recently with Kirk's Viper and DSB's Typhoon. All seemed well and unchanged with the installations and yet no afterburner effects!Eventually I narrowed it down to the throttle control and this jogged the memory of a recent visit to 'HoverSafe Academy' http://members.shaw.ca/hoversafe/Hoversafe.htm as part of my attempts to learn how to fly helis. This site recommended that you set your controller sensitivities at maximum for elevator & aileron and 75% for rudder and throttle. You should also set ALL null zones to zero. These settings apply equally to FS98, FS2000,FS2002 and FS2004.On testing I have discovered that if you have the throttle control sensitivity at maximum, then afterburner effects return in all their glory, but at 75% sensitivity...nada, nix, nothing :( In fact, I have determined the cutoff point is 13 steps back from the max setting (tap the left arrow key 13 times). 0-12 steps and all is well, 13 steps back from max and the flames have gone! I wonder why?Mike
