Joystick calibration TU-154B2 FSX

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have problems with the project tupolev 154b2

I'm trying to get the plane trim setup correct. Starting up / takeoff etc is no problem anymore but I can't get the trim to work good. I trim up using my button (button 3 and 4) on my Saitek yoke. It does give a indication of trim (on that instrument) but it doesn't change the trim setting of the plane.

I have tried to disable joystick and then configure via the built in configurator but that doesn't work. Nothing works anymore.

Windows 7 64 bit is my operating system.

Can somebody help me?

Thanks!

Is this with the FSX or the FS9 version of the PT Tu-154B2?

FSX version. Fixed now.. don't know how I fixed it though.. but it works so all good.

New question: How do I add liveries that were made for FS2004? I read that it is possible by changing texture.cfg... but how?

Also is it possible to use Reality XP GNS 530 with this? I read it was...

Sorry I don't use FSX - I'm still happily using the PT planes in FS9, I won't be much help to you with issues in the FSX version of the Tupolev.

You can add liveries in the normal way you would add them to any other aircraft. Check the readme.txt files included with the repaints for information; and yes, the author of the new FSX Tu-154B2 model has said its possible to use FS9 repaints with the FSX version.

For the joystick calibration utility - its possible you were doing something wrong, when not sure check the included English manual. Glad its working ok for you now.

Think its possible to use the Reality XP GNS with the FSX version of the PT Tu-154B2, but again I don't use it myself and can't really be sure. I heard about a possible issue with the latest version of the Reality XP as the developers at PT only had access to an older version and that's the one that works properly with their plane - Not sure if this has been addressed and fixed as of yet.

Check the official PT English forum for the FSX Tu-154B2 here: http://www.protu-154...6ec1a622ff68622

it should contain the information you're looking for, if not ask - they'll be happy to help.

Hello Everyone,

I have the same problem as replica17 had. I can not fix it. I have Saitek X-52 joystick, and if I set on the Built in calibration panel the button I want to handle trim, and then click to the save after open the cover, happens nothing...

The Built in calibration panel have less functions than my joystick can handle, I dont want to use it basically, just the trims. Is it possible?

And another question... why wouldn't be easier to make the whole plane works with the basic fs built in trim as well? It wouldn't be as complicated as it is. Sometimes the program do not recognise my joystick... so is there any possibility to use the Aircraft.cfg or the Panel.cfg for recovering the FS's built in trim?

I use FS9, not FSX

Thank you very much

Captain Joe
