June 12, 200421 yr Hello.I'm hoping someone can answer this question for me. After installing CH's Control Manger software (latest version), my mixture & prop controls no longer operate correctly. Actually, the mixture control end up controlling the prop and the prop control does nothing.I wasn't even going to install Control Manger but I like the sensitivy options it provides. It makes things not so quick to react. You can only go so far in the normal sensitivity options before the brake on message is there all the time.Does anyone know why my prop and mixture controls are affected this way with Control Manager installed? Thanks very much!!!
June 12, 200421 yr If you go to spot view, you'll probably find that to Prop lever is controlling the rudder. To fix it, open the MSFS Options menu and click on Controls > Assignments. Look at the Joystick Axis assignments and you'll likely find that FS has gotten confused. reassign the axes properly and you're problems will be solved. R-
June 12, 200421 yr You need to watch out if you have created a "map" with CH Control Manager. That will give you two sets of settings in FS ... one, if your CH map is enabled, and the default if not.I use CH Manager for programming a PTT button on my yoke only; all else is done by DirectX in FS without problems. You can program your prop and mix levers without problems, and your 'brake' message will go away if your sensitivities are adjusted correctly and the "reverse" box is clicked on your brake(s).Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
June 12, 200421 yr Author No, I haven't created a map. Is this required to do because I handn't intended on making one. All I wanted to use the Control Manager software for was for less sensitive controls. Without using results in doing circles on the groud with about 1/4" press of the rudder.I also had a problem with the throttle as well when using Control Manager that I had forgotton about. With the throttle maxed out I was not getting full power. It sounded like I was but the speeds were basically nothing. Any idea on that one?
June 12, 200421 yr Author I think I finally got it. As far as the prop/mixture control goes it was the assignments. Thank you!!!Now maybe I can actually fly instead of trying to get things to work.Ahhhhh computers. The love hate is off the scale, isn't it?THANKS AGAIN FOR THE HELP!

It sounded like I was but the speeds were basically nothing. Any idea on that one?"This time go to Options > Controls > Sensitivities. Throttle, prop, and mixture should be set to maximum sensitivity and minimum null zone. The throttle is most likely configured as if it were a "centered" axis (such as the ailerons, elevator and rudder); FS got confused again! Set it to match the prop and mixture and this problem too, will be solved. (We hope.) R-
