August 16, 201213 yr James - I have experienced problems with this. I found that the NGX does not like to be loaded over itself. In other words... I get the best performance when I load a fresh NGX every time I start FSX. I find that when you load a saved NGX file the performance suffers a bit compared to just loading a new flight when you start up FSX. I also found that regularly deleting your saved flights will actually keep the NGX running at its best. Of course, PMDG also reccommends regularly running a quality system cleaner as well a defrag. You save your previous 737 flight, but not as the default. You can either have the default FSX flight (the trike over Friday Harbor), or (as I do) have the 172 saved as the default flight start up. When you boot FSX the next time and the Welcome screen comes up with the 172 showing in the window, simply switch to the 737 and change the location and time according to what you want for your next flight, and your flight will load with the previous panel state. You do NOT have to actually load your default flight to the point where you are sitting in the 172 on the tarmac somewhere. You can load the 737 from the Welcome screen and all will be fine. As noted though, if you load the 737 and then want to load a different livery, you need to reboot FSX and go through the procedure again. You do not want to load the 737 on top of itself. This too is in the manuals, and the manuals are not only very good reading, but essential when you get into a plane of this level of sophistication - simulated or RW. But I believe that's been stated above. Words to the wise -_- Glenn Davy
