June 14, 200421 yr There's an FPDA Boeing callout gauge with the SGA DC-10 panel, but no callout .wav files are provided in the ZIP file. Are there supposed to be callouts with this panel? If so, how do I get them?Appreciate advice, thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
June 15, 200421 yr I think you need FPDA_Boeing_10ft.wav, FPDA_Boeing_20ft.wav, FPDA_Boeing_30ft.wav, FPDA_Boeing_40ft.wav, FPDA_Boeing_50ft.wav, FPDA_Boeing_100ft.wav, FPDA_Boeing_200ft.wav, FPDA_Boeing_300ft.wav, and FPDA_Boeing_400ft.wav files, that's 9 files in all in your main sound folder. I can email them to you as the files are quite small compared with most wav files. [email protected]
June 15, 200421 yr Author Charlie:Thanks for your post and kind offer. Actually, I eventually found all the .wav files inside my old FS2002 (thank heavens for history)! I cut and paste and guess what? They work great. Except for the 10' callout, that don't work for some reason. Dunno why. Anyway, thanks again. Appreciate the reply.JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
June 15, 200421 yr Seems that if you're flying a plane where the pilot sits at a certain height then any callout below that height will never be heard. Not sure why. I should think unless you're flying a small plane then there is no real problem.
June 15, 200421 yr Author Yeah, I wondered about that because it seems that no sooner has the callout yelled "20!" than I am at about 10 feet RA. So it's fine as a guide and I am already flaring by 25' to 30' AGL anyway. I love this bird and panel mightily. Have done since Staffan's first DC-10 panel years ago--it was so good and the SGA derivative is just superb. Thanks for following-up.JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
