August 15, 201213 yr Commercial Member Does anyone know if it's possible to have FSX automatically activate the ENBseries tweak on start up? I keep forgetting to hit shift-f12. Haha Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
August 15, 201213 yr Easy! In your enbseries.ini file, change the following: [GLOBAL] UseEffect=1 It's set to 0 by default.

But guess what, I ran across this little thing calles FXAA Tool and I don't use ENBseries anymore! ;-) But thanks for responding. August 15, 201213 yr They do totally different things, but you can use them together if you're interested.

August 15, 201213 yr ENBSeries adds a light bloom effect. FXAA adds a new kind of hardware anti-aliasing. They have nothing to do with each other in terms of functionality. If you're using FXAA in conjuction with normal anti-aliasing, you're kinda of defeating the point because you're anti-aliasing twice. The whole idea is to get a performance boost by turning off normal AA. Edit: If you want to use both at the same time (after turning off your normal AA), rename the FXAA dll to something like fxaa.dll and put this in your enbseries.ini: [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=1 InitProxyFunctions=1 ProxyLibrary=fxaa.dll

I did a test by disabling AA in Inspector and the AA provided by FXAA isn't too good as far as IQ is concerned. I guess I will just continue to use my Inspector setting as usual (Kostas settings) and disable FXAA' AA in the FXAA Tool. I can still use the other settings/options within the tool app to set bloom among other things. Speaking of which, I see there is a FXAA option within Inspector. Has anyone messed around with these? August 16, 201213 yr I agree, the current ability of FXAA is a bit below par for my liking and I've also reverted to the traditional option. There have been a few threads lately about fxaa, dx10, the half refresh rate v-sync etc... try doing a quick search for them :) I'm still running dx9 with traditional AA and enbseries with quite subtle settings, using the 30fps v-sync tweak. Works best on my hardware.
