AFCAD file help

Featured Replies

Hello.I was wondering if someone would be willing to help me out. I am trying to use some military base AFCAD's for FS2004 that were created by someone else but there are some problems with them and I don't know enough about the program to try and fix them.A couple of the problems include aircraft not landing and aircraft getting stuck after moving off of the runway. The not landing problem is one I haven't heard of before either because it's the aircraft that tells the tower he is "going around" and not the tower telling the aircraft to "go around". Also, if I'm flying into the same airport(s) I have no problem (with ATC or anything else).I was hoping someone would be willing to take a look and figure out the problem(s). If someone is willing to do this I can send them to you. I think there are about six of them. Thanks in advance!

I sounds like just either some taxiways are missing or you need to add a few parking spots. I would suggest d/l and try the AFCAD2 program yourself. What better way to learn than solving that little burger. Very easy program to use, very good step-by-step manual, and it's actually fun to create with it. That's what I am been doing with Hong Kong. I knew nothing at all but now I am completely re-doing old Hong Kong Kai Tak... new AFCAD, new textures, new scenery. Have that baby re-opened for business in no time. ;)

I've looked at them with what I do know about the program and can't really find anything. I guess that's why I was asking for help.I was hoping someone else would be willing to look at them and see what they can find.

Great! Thank you.Should I just e-mail them to you at the address in your post?

There's a whole forum for Traffic Tools. Lots of gurus, and if your post gets scrolled away on the busier forums, it will stay around longer on the appropriate "niche" forums. Still, it's good to see you've found help here, too.
