April 10, 200323 yr Ah well.Too late now if you have not booked your zillion dollar flight in Concorde.British Airways are retiring it, with Air France expected to do the same.Just when I was going to win the lottery as well!RonaldGlasgowScotland
April 10, 200323 yr A sad loss to the aviation world (albeit a great bonus for various aircraft museums!).What annoys me in a way is BA's refusal to sell the aircraft to Virgin. Why not make a bit of cash back, let it be their problem and keep the aircraft flying for a little longer? At least until me and rmce have won our lottery millions!!
April 10, 200323 yr >What annoys me in a way is BA's refusal to sell the aircraft >to Virgin.A. Virgin couldn't afford the purchase, and maintain them too,B. The BA 'brand' is so ingrained in the image of Concorde that a sale to a rival wouldn't even be contemplated.Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/sbird.jpgOfficially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo
