June 18, 200421 yr ... the first time I ran it, it removed ALL gauges from default 747. Of course, I moved the gauges back. Also, I get error reports about missing gauges that were still in my planes. Perhaps this is OE of some kind? The program seems simple enough, though.Alex M.
June 18, 200421 yr I used a similar program, forget which one exactly, and it removed the entire panel from my French Concorde. I won't be using any similar programs again, I'd rather handle everything manually. I think in your case the 747 gauges got removed because they are contained in a cab file and probably not properly recognised by the program.
June 21, 200421 yr Where did you find GaugeClean4? I've been using GaugeClean3 since FS2002 without any problems. It will remove some of the default gauges, but they aren't used. Most of the default planes use gauges in .cab files now, but MS left the old .gau files for compatibility with older addon planes. With FS9 I get alot of reports about missing gauges, but that's because FS9 now supports gauges in the aircraft folder. All of the new aircraft that came with FS9 have the gauges in a .cab file located inside it's own panel folder, that's why you get the error.
June 21, 200421 yr Thanks for the explanation about the error reports. BTW, I don't remember exactly where I got GC4, but I know it can be downloaded from fsflightdeck.comI'm still disappointed that it removed my cab file... just venting.Alex M.
