UTX migration

Featured Replies

When I point to FSX's scenery files for UTX I get all the implementations BUT water is covered over with landclass.

I do have the exclusion part there.

Also copied over the 2 large texture folders of concern

Im not that concerned yet as I only use the USA-Lighting for ORBX-stuff

Did not copy the terrain file over

I suspect I should purchase the FSX TO PREPAR3D MIGRATION TOOL ?

Any ideas?

I suspect I should purchase the FSX TO PREPAR3D MIGRATION TOOL ?

Definitely. Bought it. No problems until now installing anything. And all is installed under one windows installation in both FSX and P3D. Double install.

So far I've managed to manually (or otherwise) migrate every thing : EZCA, 3 Carenados, PMDG-737s, ORBX, AS2012, clouds, FSUIPC

It is only UTX that is not fully transferred yet.

You asked for the solution

so with the migrator, you have to uninstall UTX and then re-install it via the tool?

Why uninstall? Just run migrator, install UTX into P3D. Just gotta remember to run the migrator BEFORE you run the setup tool. I didn't try otherwise.

UTX is not currently licensed for use in Prepar3d (see http://www.simforums.com/forums/utx-in-prepare3d_topic41697.html for more info).

Note that there is a plan to investigate any possible legal issues with the vendors of the commercial data we use in the products so there will not be any official announcements about Prepar3d versions of UTX products until then.
