Why does the ATC not say "Tiger"?

Featured Replies

I have downloaded the EditVoicePack 3 program and updated it, but when flying the RFP V2 Tiger Cargo, the ATC doesn't call me Tiger, just my flight number. Is there any way to get an update for the word Tiger?

Dogknot, I have a similar problem - when using MS AI, a Beech KingAir is called out as "KingAir KingAir". How do I configure .cfg file to make it come out "Beech KingAir" ?

David Hinson

oops, I think the problem is I used the word "TIGERS" instead of Tiger because the updating editvoicepack and saving didn't work. Ill try that after work today, thanks again!

in the aircraft.cfg you'll find at the top lines for atc_airline, atc_idnot sure exactly which one is which, but those lines are what you'd change

Dave,in the aircraft.cfg, usually under the "General" heading look for or add atc_type=atc_model=type should be BEECHmodel can be any of the following to get ATC to use "King Air"[General]atc_type=BEECHatc_model=BE10 //BE20 //BE30 //BE9L //BE9T //<--ATC says King Aireditable=0performance="Cruise Speedtn315 kts 363 mph 583 km/hnnEnginestnPratt & Whitney PT6A-60A 1,050 shpnnMaximum Rangetn1,765 nm.......

Thanks guys - been away for a while. Probably could have figured it out myself, but found it easier to ask:P

Hey I'm with ya. When I first got into this game I was asking questions left and right, about everything. When editing something like the cfg, unless you make a backup and keep the original downloaded file, you can mess up the planes install, so better to be safe than sorry!
