So I'm having very strange issues.

 

My FSX runs great with water effects tturned off. Constant 30 fps even around lots of AI at major airports (addon) and in clouds. However, when I turn water effects on to any degree, the frames plummet to about 5-10. Even if I'm not over much or any water.

 

Running i5 2500k, 8gb ram, GTX 670.

 

Greatly appreciate any suggestions anyone can provide!
