Prop Animations on Clients?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to set up my "forward view" client with a virtual cockpit of a C-172 so I can set the camera just at the windscreen and see the nose of the aircraft. This works nicely, but the prop isn't animated spinning -- it's there, but it's stopped. Kinda disconcerting :-)

This may not be an OpusFSX issue at all, but I'm curious if anybody knows how to get the prop to animate on a client view of an aircraft?

At the moment you will have to use an aircraft on the client that is already powered up has its engine running. We are going to look into relaying the engine start/stop status to the client systems, it is down on the list, but lately we have been preoccupied with the LWE upgrade and we just don't have a moment spare to look at any other work. But as soon as the dust has settled we will be getting onto it, along with picking up the development of the Live Traffic upgrade.

Hi Mark

Just to let you know we have just implemented the upgrade to relay the engine start/stop status to the client systems. It will be included in the next beta version which will be available tomorrow from our downloads webpage.

Hi Mark

Latest update, testing went well. We have synchronised the engine N1 (jet), RPM (piston), and combustion (on/off) settings for engines 1 to 4. All seems to work fine and beta 2.21 is on schedule for posting tomorrow. Just got a few more additions to test and conduct another flight testing the FSX winds aloft bug fix.

Stephen
