September 10, 201213 yr Hey I built this make up on ebay using the custom option from the sellar's store....looking to find out for the price range if this would be a good solid build for FSX http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390466833993 As an FYI I already have a Video card and sound card but just needed to build the rest of the guts.
September 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Eh, you may want to go with the 3770K, instead of the regular 3770. Overclocking is quite important to achieving optimal FSX performance and extracting the most from your hardware. If you can't justify the added $$ for the 3770K, then I'd say go for the 3570K. Which video card do you have? Aamir Thacker
September 10, 201213 yr Author currently I am running a Radeon 5760...I will probably be upgrading that down the road...for now Im trying to get the rest
September 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Well, since FSX is very CPU dependant, I'd say you're on the right path. Which RAM is being offered, all I can see is 8GB. It's quite important that you don't get subpar RAM. Also, you need to find out which HDD is in the system. All these little things play an important role in eliminating stutters and any potential bottlenecks that FSX can run into. EDIT: Not familiar with Ebay, lol The 500GB Barracuda should be okay, 7200RPM is no slouch. Aamir Thacker
September 10, 201213 yr Author I was going to do a 2nd 500gb sata drive to only have fsx + addon stuff on but i will be adding that down the raod....on my current pc, the grapics arent bad...its more an issue of the loading time... AMD x2 240 with 8gb ram Going to be doing the billmelater option so Im trying to keep my range reasonable to pay off over the time frame....
September 10, 201213 yr Commercial Member Then I see no real problem I guess, except you really need to change that 3770 to a 3770K. It's quite important. Aamir Thacker
