767/757 Panel?

Featured Replies

Hi there,What does everyone use as a 757/767 panel? Iwas using Lonny Payne's panel, but I have persistent crashes (znewpdf.gau error all the time). I'm getting tired of this panel. The crashes are keeping my 767s in the hangar. Are there any good alternatives?Misha

IMO, the next best freeware panels are by Ken Mitchell and Chris Jeanne. Lonny Payne's panel is definitely tricky to get installed and working properly if you are using FS9 since it was designed for FS 2K2. I've been trying for a couple of weeks now.Do you have all the updates for Lonny's panel? Have you e-mailed Lonny to ask about znewpdf.gau? (He has responded to my e-mails).Lastly, a recent post to a thread in this forum suggested a cfg edit to see if it would stop hydraulic leaks, which result in inoperative flaps. If it works, it will solve one of my problems. The other issue I'm having is sometimes the radio won't work (it displays, but no numbers in the read-out), plus ND display problems (no heading or magenta lines). I tried a keyboard command to turn on avionics, no joy.If I can't get this panel to work soon, I will revert back to either of the panels I mentioned above (they are quite similar). I'd rather fly than tweak all the time.I don't know if any of this has helped you, but I definitely feel your pain. x(

Thanks for the tip. W8ill try the Ken Mitchell panel. It looks good. Sorry, I don't know the solution to your problems. Never had any problems with getting the bird started up. It's just in flight that it crashes. Anyway... BTW, I'm told that the old PSS 757 for FS2000 works in FS9. If I could only find my old CD-ROM...Misha
