SF.260 Start Problem

Featured Replies

Hi,All of a sudden I can not start the SF260. It will start (and run) if I start another aircraft first and then choose the 260 aircraft. I have tried the StrongStart fix from RealAir and have change the aircraft.cfg file entry normalized_starter_torgue value from 1.73 to 2.00.Any suggestions would be appreicated....Thanks,

You might try 2.5 or 3.0 Other than that I dont have any other suggestions.

Hi,2.5 did the trick!!!!!Thanks,

This is the nearest thing to a real gremlin we've ever seen in FS9. We know it is definitely linked to graphics cards and drivers and some of the reports we've had come after users have updated either their driver or graphics. It is also linked to the view you happen to be in. For instance you can do a cold start in 2d view but not in spot view. In the cast majority of cases the start fix on our website solves it. In cases where it doesn't, open the aircraft config and find "starter torque" under the engine params. Hiking this up a little usually solves it.Kind Regards,Rob Young - RealAir Simulations

Hi Rob,This non-start problem did happen after I updated my ATI 9800 driver from Cat 3.9 to Cat 4.6!!! Everything else with FS2004 seems ok.

Hi,for what it's worth, I've noticed (by accident), that my SF.260 won't start, when I have my frame rate set to unlimited. When I lock at 25fps (or so) she'll always start, just like she should.RegardsOliver
