Announcement: Harrier addons

Featured Replies

Hi,After weeks of trial-and-error and tweaking, I just released my FS9 Harrier addons. Now available as file rcbhc-15.zip, in the libraryFrom the description:******************************This archive contains addon's for Adam Preece' GR.7 Harrier aircraft, which IMHO is the best visual Harrier model available at this time:1. New flight dynamics, seperately animated nozzles and flaps, and a VSTOL control gauge, enabling a stable VSTOL operation (vertical landing/takeoff) with auto-pitch control, whilst maintaining realistic normal-flight characteristics.2. A set of gauge-controlled effects, like engine heat/smoke (backwards or downwards, depending on nozzles position), a visible/audible cannon, and wing vapor / wingtip vortex effects. And more ....A real must-try for Harrier fans. See included README for further details.******************************Note that Adam's original Harrier model is only available at flightsim.com, not at avsim.com (not my choice :-) ), as files APDHARR7.ZIP and APDHARFX.ZIP (NOT ADPHARFX.ZIP as my README suggests !)Enjoy,Rob Barendregt

Hi,As a very observant person pointed out to me: the cannon fire is now coming from what appears to be the Pitot :-)To correct this:- Open the aircraft.cfg file with Notepad.- In the LIGHTS section, replace the line:light.13=7, 20, 0,0.5,fx_RCB_Cannon,withlight.13=7, 6, -2, -2.3,fx_RCB_Cannon,light.16=7, 6, 2, -2.3,fx_RCB_Cannon,Which will put the effects origin (2 cannons now) at the correct location.See attached picture (Thanks Andrea !)Cheers, Rob Barendregt.
