Problems with FSX settings

In my PMDG-747 I intend to use a yoke button to arm the Autothrottle. ( Saitek Yoke )

 

I went to FSX--> Option --> Settings --> Controls --> Button/Key.

The indication to arm the throttle is a key combination "Shift + R"

However when pressing "Shift+R" nothing happens and I wonder why.

 

Does anybody have an answer ?

Have you made sure that no other keyboard commands are interfering from other FSX programs (e.g., Saitek) and that you made the changes as an administrator?
