FS 2006 Your Choice?

I would be inclinded to say that an ATC system that can support a realistic number of AI planes is one of the major points for me.An ATC system that can cope with SID's and STAR's would also be niceAlso, a more realistc weather system would be a nice addition. At the end of the day, I am more than happy with what I have got now, but if it can be improved then I am all for it.Dan.

Hi Pete.... long time, no see!! :-wave Anyway back to your 'question.' I'm flying the helicopters in FS these days and use the VC almost exclusively. I find a great disparity among quality of 3rd party addon helicopter VCs. I understand that creating a VC in an aircraft is quite difficult which probably accounts for why some VCs are excellent and some are not as good as they could be. My two biggest problems are the VC is too big with little to no outside views and/or the gauge indicators do not move smoothly.I don't miss having a 2D panel unless the VC does not provide the necessary active switches, buttons, windows for viewing and access to radios, GPS, etc. The live weather would be a good option to have. But it would have to be optional for those of us who just don't care - :-shy - or who simply do not have the computer power. From what I read over in the FU forum, Flight Unlimited 3 did a very credible job in the 'live' weather department. So it is technically possible, even now. I'm a little surprised that MS didn't pay more attention to it this time around (for FS2004). -Lindy :-rotor

2D pits are essential, VCs work only on systems with 3+ screens (at least for larger aircraft). There's only 1 change I want, and that's for Microsoft to remove the framerate counter so we get rid of the framerate junks.
