Two small planes collided near Maricopa, AZ

Two small planes collided today about 2PM AZ time, about an hour south of my home, in Maricopa, AZ. Usually things like this have an unhappy ending--fortunately both aircraft landed safely. One made it to Gila River Memorial airport about five miles south of Chandler, AZ and the other landed at a vehicle test track almost immediately south of where my sister-in-law lives--the test track is adjacent to the subdivision she lives in.

Both aircraft were Pipers--there were no details on the damage.
