October 6, 201213 yr Commercial Member Gents, This is not so much an announcement, as it is an extended offer. Many folks seem to stay clear of voice-comms and the overall multiplayer experience within FSX. And each of their own reasons, which are respected. However, if you are simply not sure of the multiplayer environment, or maybe you haven't 'clicked' well into that avenue of the sim, I would like to encourage you to re-consider getting involved. We see the VA's that come and go, it seems almost daily there's another new group, or VA. Where does it end? I would like to introduce something different, and give you the option to watch it all going down, before you ever make the first step of connecting to a voice or an FSX server. In cooperation with the FSX Air Sports Association, and with generous Sponsorship from A2A Simulations, I invite you to watch the LiveStream of a very unique FSX Event. It's a STOL competition, at KHQM, Bowerman. There have already been two fly-in and registration events, in which real-world pilots, and simmers alike, have been anxious to bring their STOL Bush Class aircraft in, and practice on the unique scenery, which provides a 500ft Grid, for the purpose of maximum performance take-off and landings, per the Valdez style of competition. These guys are bringing their A2A Cubs, Microsoft ACES Cubs, Flight Replicas Super Cubs, and even the Vertigo Vans RV-8.... It's been a lot of fun. Registration for the main event is closed, however, I encourage you to watch the LiveStream broadcast. Their will be a two-hour stream on Saturday October 6th, starting at 1200 Pacific Time (1900 Zulu), and a four hour stream on Saturday October 13th, also starting at 1200 Pacific (1900 Zulu). The first being a practice event, and the second being the money-run, with prizes being provided by A2A Simulations. You can access the stream HERE. The FSX Air Sports Association is also actively involved in bringing multiple classes of air racing back to FSX, and also the most realistic competition aerobatics that could be available. There is much room for growth, and with over 40 members, representing over 12 countries, FASA is pioneering the world of Air Sports within the simulated platform. Please bookmark us, and maybe we'll see you in the skies. Joseph Edited October 6, 201213 yr by firehawk44 Photo removed - exceeds 1600W; 400KB limit.
