There's a great thread called Outback Air Race - Thanks! by Ed McGough. You'll find it in the General Discussion section of the forum.

 

It's pictures of a Fund-Raiser Air Race for the RFDS in Oz. His pictures of the landscape of an area most of us only get to see from FL360 are fascinating. Well worth a look. A real showcase for the sheer variety of landscapes that those of us in more densly populated places would regard as wilderness.

 

How many simmers would give anything for an opportunity to take part in a trip like this? Count me in.
