I'm looking at picking up some US airports from FSDT including their GSX.

 

Has anyone had any experience with their products?

 

If so I am keen to see if there are any nasty performance issue and especially what everyones thoughts are on GSX.

GSX is probably the best addon for fsx non scenery or aircraft wise. I have all the fsdt products even their first fsx product KMCO and to this day none of their product impact frames. They are very stable user friendly product.

GSX, I feel, is a big level up from AES. A must buy but do be aware of one fact : Jetways that aren't set on default FSX code or part of FSDT airports will not work.

For example, any Aerosoft airport, FlyTampa, ImagineSim, etc use their own codes for custom jetways.

 

Sadly, I found out about this after purchasing the product and it's not really a big problem anymore since I use AES for jetways only and GSX for all other features.

I love FSDreamteam airports though it comes in second for me behind Flytampa but I still can't wait for YVR to come out.

Sadly, I found out about this after purchasing the product and it's not really a big problem anymore since I use AES for jetways only and GSX for all other features.

 

How do you config both AES and GSX to work that way? I would love for the jetways to work at the airports I have AES activated at.

I'm not on my sim PC at the moment. When I get back home, I'll let you know exactly how I got GSX and AES working together.

 

From the top of my head, if I remember correctly, you can disable all ground vehicles by going into AESConfig.exe and only aligning the jet way positions to your aircraft doors.

That and a few manual edits in the aircraft cfg related to AES should get both AES and GSX working flawlessly together.

GSX is great for what it is. As others mentioned no jetway function. Its certainly more cost effective than AES imo.
