July 10, 200421 yr Hi,It seems that I can load all airports, except Amsterdam (EHAM). Loading it causes a crash. I didn't modify anything on this airport. I found out that when I disable my Add-on scenery folder in FS the airport loads normal again. Strange, because there are only afcad files in my Add-on scenery/scenery folder of other aiports (I use the default EHAM scenery). My texturefolder in Add-on scenery is empty. Hay anybody an idea what's going on here? Thanks,Herman Leusman
July 10, 200421 yr Enable the add on scenery folder in FS but remove all except one of your AfCad files from it and put them in a temporary folder. Test EHAM and then see if the error occurs. If it does, the remaining AfCad file is the problem. If not, make a note of the file as being good, put some more AfCad files back in the folder and test again. Every time you can load EHAM, then you can note all the AfCad files that are back in the folder as being good. As soon as you get an error, remove one AfCad file at a time until the error stops. Then you will know which one is causing the problem.
July 10, 200421 yr Hello Charlie, thanks for your prompt reply. You did it! I had one corrupt AFCAD file. It cost me a few hours to find it out. But now I'm taking off again from Amsterdam.thanks,Herman
July 10, 200421 yr Further thought, you might be able to repair the bad file if you use the latest version of AfCad from Lee Swordy. There is an error checking function in the program that tells you everything that is wrong with the file.
July 11, 200421 yr Hi,I found it. And I repared it. I wonder how MSFS works. I had a corrupt afcad file of ehhv in my add-on scenery/scenery folder. But clicking ehhv, all worked fine. Selecting airport eham, nearby ehhv, caused trouble...thanks again charlie for you involvment,Herman
July 11, 200421 yr Glad to help. I know that a bad AfCad file can cause problems a long distance away but I don't know how to find out more about it.
