Nope, they don't mention PMDG by name, but they sure close all the loopholes. So who started this battle? Add to that, they priced their product so dang high, only a few can purchase it, leaving many we trust here for honest reviews out of the loop. I am so happy that no one representing Ariane has ever posted falsehood in these forums. God forbid they be subject to the same threats they like to throw at other parties. Could you imagine the consequences if it were ever proven that someone under hire of a payware company was floating posts in these forums under false pretenses, pretending to be an interested or current customer? I am so glad Ariane doesn't do that, but it sure seems that what you've quoted from them accuses PMDG of doing just that. I wonder what PMDG's take would be on that?-John

It started with Ariane comparing their plane to PMDGs like little children.

No kidding - this is absolutely ridiculous, Ariane's website trashed the PMDG NG, not the other way around. How could PMDG trash anyone when theirs was the first and only NG on the market???

Not to mention PMDG's is significantly better value for money than Ariane's.

UNBELIEVABLE!!!As I suggested some time ago, I wouldn't be at all suprised if PT was assisting Ferdy with the legal pseudo-babble and this nonsense just arouses my suspicions even more......When reading the rubbish Ariane are now saying, one should also remember that numerous pre-release claims made by Ariane about their new 737 VCe product have been proved to be lies at worst, and certainly misleading at best. (i.e. many claims of what was included simply aren't included, etc.)Yet more reason, if any were needed, to give Ariane, P.T. et al the widest possible berth before parting with your cash!Toni.

This, at least, is a very good step forward, which seems to indicate that Ariane is listening. Give them time, and perhaps they will continue to evolve towards a more positive and consumer-friendly attitude overall - which will, in turn, make the consumer more friendly towards them.Mike F.

The one thing Ariane has always been good at is listening - Doing is another thing altogether!After what they said/claimed before their 737 VCe launch against their 'competitor', what P.T. put on their site today is nothing short of hypocritical cr*p and certainly doesn't make up for the false claims and total lies about the product itself.Sorry, but I just don't think this particular 'leopard' even know about his spots, let alone how to change them!Regarding an Ariane forum, I wouldn't hold your breath.......Toni.

I think the only issue Uwe is what I call "selective amnesia" on Ariane's part. Likely to satisfy the lawyers, they never mentioned PMDG by name, but they started the "fog" of war between PMDG and themselves.That, and veiled threats from Ariane, which has gone down that road before, show that nothing's changed. They can throw out hints an innuendo and make claims that fall into really dicey ground vs. the competition, but they take offense when it gets fired back at them? I don't recall anyone from PMDG threatening them for some of the things said on Ariane's site.Still, on Ariane's behalf, a couple of things have bothered me. Some "negative" reviews weren't backed up with screenshots, and seemed a bit phony to me. Second, those sharing screenshots in the forum have been jumped on by "PMDG is still better comments" that have no place in that forum. I still have the Ariane 733, and I'd still argue that no 733 has been released, freeware or payware which gives it justice. It takes more than dynamic shine or tricky animations to produce an authentic model. It is the most accurately done in terms of texturing, even with errors, and wing structure, etc.... People complain about the nose shape, but I'm face to face with 737's almost every week, and it looks close enough to fool me.It still holds its own, and sad that Ariane made more than one livery a revenue generator. I think the package would still sell today with free livery support.-John

JohnThe question of 'free livery support' is just one of the pre-release claims P.T. made about the forthcoming product. I can't remember the exact rhetoric he used, but he certainly said that with each plane variant purchased you'd also get EVERY model (including individual reg. numbers) of that plane made by Boeing.I said at that time that these were extremely bold promises and, of course, Tishma now wants to charge for extra liveries etc.As you yourself have suggested many times, this style of 'infomercial' is misleading and dupes potential customers into believing that they're gonna get things which are simply not available.If Ariane wants to gain any real credibility in this arena, the first thing they need to learn is how to tell the truth. (Then, maybe, grow up and accept that if you dish dirt out, you may well get some back, then get rid of Tishma once and for all, and then, MAYBE, they'll stand a chance.......)Toni.
