Multiple issues with 737NGX

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I bought the 737NGX 800, 900 as well as the 600,700 yesterday. All excited to get things going but i have been receiving nothing but problems.

1) First of all i have this issue with the activation process keeps popping up everytime i select any of the 737 models.

2) When the flight has loaded, i am having problems with the panels. First thing i notice is that the battery switch is on (default panel state), but the voltage display that indicates what load its using is completely blank...showing nothing!!...Stanby battery switch is on and turning the switch to it, still the display is blank. Also i see the Ground power switch illuminated which means its available, but in the FMC its not even connected. Even when i do connect it and try to turn it on, Nothing happens. As a result i cannot get anything started with the aircraft!!. My printed checklist is worthless right now. In my pic below u can see what am saying. Also, notice how with the batter switch on, barely any of the status' are illuminated

I even tried fast forwarded and jumped to put on the APU. The meter shows that its booting up and the APU gen

I then switched aircraft and went to use the B737-800 from COLD and Dark state and this is what happened

Notice the Ground source and battery connected but nothing indicating that power is active in the aircraft!!

3) I did multiple re-installs of the PMDG aircraft and i even re-installed FSX off the C drive unto another partition with User Account Control off. Now i see this new issue. At the FSX home screen where the aircraft is cycling on display, i switched to the explorer to do some research and when i went back the texture of the aircraft is gray and pieces missing. I have the HIGHMEMFIX in my FSX.cfg

Can anyone help me? I have browsed the forums but i just cant seem to see anything. plus most topics with some talk are from 2010 but updates have been done since, anyone else having these issues?

Thanks

Arlen

1. You're most likely entering the 800/900 key into the 600/700's activation box - they're two different keys.

2. What is your default aircraft in FSX set to? These types of problems sound a lot like what happens when you load the NGX over top of another complex addon aircraft or over another NGX variant or livery. There's a whole section in the Intro manual on this.

3. FSX bug - you can make it happen even with the default ultralight. Try not to task switch away from the Free Flight window like that - it's better to actually load the sim and then pause if you need to do stuff pre-flight. Either that or just don't load FSX until you're ready to go.

Hello Ryan,

I got your email thanks for responding. I sent back a response, but immediately after i did, i realised what i was doing wrong

1) i did not put in the right activation key. After putting in the correct one everything booted correctly and panels are working. I had stored them after downloading but i didn't realise it was two of the same. Glad you pointed that point out i was so excited to use it that i overlooked that part. Thanks again Ryan!
