July 18, 200421 yr Everytime I install flight sim 2004 freshly with no add-ons put into it, the game runs smoothly. Everytime I add planes with their corresponding panels, the game will chop during pushback, taxi, and takeoff. in the sky or at a dead stop on the ground the game will still run normally. has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it? i formatted my computer thinking that would fix the problem, but it didn't. someone please help..
July 19, 200421 yr When you reinstalled Windows, did you install the motherboard controller chip drivers, i.e., Intel, VIA, SiS, AMD, ALi, NForce? If not, determine the MOBO controller chips and install the drivers. Also download and install DirectX9.0b from MS Windows Update Site. After installing the MOBO controller chip drivers and DirectX9.0b, run the directx diagnostic, press Start, Run..., type dxdiag, OK. Let the diagnostic stabilize, ensure you are using version 9.0b, select the Display tab. Ensure DirectDraw, Direct3d, and AGP Accelerations are enabled. If grayed out, reinstall the MOBO Controller chip drivers. Run the DirectDraw and Direct3d tests and note any errors.W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
