July 19, 200421 yr I've read some good things about the Ariane classics exterior model. I was just wondering what people think about it and which is their most detailed model of the 737-300/-400? I was also wondering about their air file if it's any good or would you go with another, and if so which one?Regards-Mikkel
July 19, 200421 yr well, there is no comparision about the classics. There are no competitors. It is certainly one of the best modelled payware 737th. You have a good choice of free ones if you like. There are several optimized FDE's1. search avsim.com library. There is a good one for the 737-300 from Van Latendresse2. There is a good one, created by myself for the 737-300/-400 optimized for the use with the DF737. Unfortunately not FS2004 optimized. see arianedesign.com -> freeware Merge 2.1B3. There is a merge 2.2 from Ariane itself. Don't know if it is FS2004 optimized.4. i can send you my latest by eMail. just drop me a line.CheersMartin X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2 Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1
July 19, 200421 yr I was thinking about the 737-300 together with the DF panel. Does the merge Ariane has done include an air file? I would like to try yours even though it's not optimised for fs9. Could you tell me about the difference in their models...or is there none? What I'm thinking is one more detailed than the other and so on.Thanks-Mikkel
July 19, 200421 yr you mean the difference between the 737-300 -400 -500 or what? Or the difference between the payware and the freeware?CheersMartin X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2 Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1
July 19, 200421 yr I was thinking about the difference between the Ariane classics. Maybe they put more detail into one of the planes or are they basically the same?-Mikkel
July 19, 200421 yr their all nicely modelled with high level of detail. if you love the details when flaps are extended -> this is your choice. If you prefer to fly and don't care about much detail, certainly the freeware will do perfectly. FFX 737 nicely made too.The Ariane 737 classic's IMHO have a very nice modell, thats why i did that many freeware repaints on it. The DF737 has a highly realistic panel but the model is ... FS2000 ;)Of course, the price of Ariane is ways too high, however if you choose the Special Edition you get more for less. Nice Panel, Nice model + cool 737-300 sound.they all have features likeexractable landing lightmoving elevator trimextendable airstair+++Thats it. I got all models 737-300/-400/-500/-600/-700/-800/-BBJI purchased at least one and painted the liveries i like myself. Most of them are on avsim.comHope this is enoughCheerMartin X-Plane 11.3x / DCS 2.5.4 / P3Dv4.5 / Aerofly FS 2 Win10-x64 | ASUS Z270E | Intel i7-7700K @4.5GHz | Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB DDR4 | 6TB SSD Samsung 850 Pro | ASUS GTX 1080 ROG STRIX 8GB DDR5X | TM Hotas Warthog | Saitek Combat Pedals | Oculus Rift CV1
July 19, 200421 yr Sounds good. All I really want is a 737-300 model and then use the dreamfleet panel...how is the sounds, are they worth getting?Have you tried their DF-Ariane merge airfile? I'm just wondering if I should use theirs or someone elses.-Mikkel
