default 747 landing speed config

Featured Replies

Well you already had a lot of answers, but anyway I will add mine.I used to have big trouble landing the 747 until I learned it is all about fuel, with the 747 and with every plane. As an example I used to land the FFX 737-800 at 140 knots, when I began managing fuel I realized I had to land it at 115/110 knots or I would touch the ground with the front gear first.A big difference when you it comes the moment of stopping the plane.Fully loaded, but with tanks at less than 25% you shouldn't have any problem landing it at 140/150 knots.Leo

that's what i've been using for the fuel amount, about 25%. yea, fuel weight does seem to have alot to do with it. thanks for the help leo. william
