cant install fs9, need help

Featured Replies

Hi guys and girls,I just recieved my new computer and the first thing i did was to install fs9 but at about 40% during the intstalltion, it stops because it cant write USENGLISHBIG.GVP. Setup quits. USENGLISHBIG.GVP i guess is located in the sound folder and contains the voices for ATC. Thanks

Make sure you have no anti-virus program running in the background during installation. Close all programs before installation and try again. No other suggestions/recommendations. Hope this helps.Jim Young

Thanks for the help, but that didn't work. I appreciated it though.

You might very well have a problem with installing the software using your new CD-ROM drive. This can be a bit tricky, and it's recommended that you contact MS Support for assistance.Good luck,Greg

You MIGHT be able to copy the cotents to your local hard drive then point the installer to it insted of the CD ROM. As was mentioned, some cd drives are not very good at reading certain protected cdroms that's why I have two installed in case one has a bad day. Double check to see that you DISK is not strached (hold it up to a light) and clean any finger prints or other debris that might be on the disk, you never know ;-)Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J.
