July 25, 200421 yr Hi,Well I got through to Ariane and they have reactivated me so thats good. They have also told me the following:-"You must contact us for re-activation and we need to have your ORDER ID and PASSWORD. Each request will be considered on merit. Please keep a back up of files in case and if you think you need to re-install and come to us for advice first before you re-format. There are only 2 files to save - these are your key files in ARIANE and the FMC gauge.FMC can be found in c: etc.FS2004GAUGESKey files can be found in c: etc.FS2004ARIANE - save all of them (Not scenery, texture or Navdata folder contents). These files are set to your PC only - you cannot reload them to another computer or create a fresh set. We advise that you keep a copy of these files and copy them back to their folders after a re-install."So it seems as long as we keep a backup of those files in question we should be ok.Hope this helps everyone and thanks to Ariane for finally pointing this out.Cheers,
July 25, 200421 yr Hey Paul, You know all these Ariane threads and yet I have to see 1 screenshot from this aircraft other than those purty pictures on their site. Why don't you post some screenshots of this bird for us while you are letting everyone know about the re-install stuff? Would be grateful.Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. July 25, 200421 yr Hi PaulDid you find out what it was in the key file that bound it to your machine? If its the Hard Disk ID then you may still have a problem when you reformat. If its a MAC address or some other hardware ID then you should be reasonably safe. Might be wise to confirm that anyway.
