July 25, 200421 yr I recently reloaded FS9 back on, but now when I save a situation at the end of the flight (Save Flight menu) and tick the "Save as Default" box, it doesn't make the change in the fs9.cfg "Situation" line. When I restart FS to the "Create a Flight" window, it comes up to an earlier saved flight (which would be the automatic default flight from installation, if I hadn't changed it in other ways - see below). Now, if I go into the "Select Flight" menu (rather than the "Create a Flight" menu), highlight the flight I wanted and THEN select "Save as Default", the new flight will get written to the fs9.cfg "Situation" line. Would anyone know why the box in the Create a Flight menu that says to save as a default flight isn't working? Thanks much :-)Glenn
July 25, 200421 yr Spooky. Sounds like a "time bomb" in FS somewhere? :-hmmm It's annoying, if nothing else.Glenn
July 25, 200421 yr I too am experiencing this problem. I am in the process of moving to a new house so I can't look into this just now. Check your add-ons. I don't think this is a problem after a new install. I just did a new install a couple of weeks ago. So far I have only installed Aeroworx B200, Ariane 737ng VCe, Flight1 Piper Meridian, Reality XP gauges (wx500, GNS530, Jetline2. Do we have anything in common?Let me know what you find. ________________________________ Ken B. Jackson - KSAT Private Pilot - SEL San Antonio, Texas
July 25, 200421 yr Nope, nothing in common here I'm afraid. I found I had this problem after a new install, and before adding anything else in. I was wondering if it was even related to a video card issue (not sure how that would be though, but anyway, Radeon Pro 9800 256). I was thinking too if there was something in the fs9.cfg that I changed that could be causing the issue. I may look into that as I made quite a few changes in there, as per instructions I found here and elsewhere. I'll let you know if I find anything, but it would have to be the same tweak as you two others have done to be the culprit. Strange. Thanks for the reply.Glenn
