Photoscenery using FSearthtiles

Featured Replies

Hey fellows,

I need some info and help from people who are using photoscenery. I have the NL2000 scenery but somehow that is a bit heavy with fps , so what I have done is I have downloaded the photoscenery of EHSE (Seppe Airservice) using FSEarthtiles with a download resolution of 0 and I am using the library objects like autogen and 3d buildings from NL2000 scenery.

Somehow I feel that the 3d buildings are looking much larger than the photoscenery buildings because to the NW of EHSE is a small town and that seems quite tiny compared to the Air field.

At what resolution should the scenery be downloaded ? Texture Resolution in FSX is 7 cm.

If you need a snapshot let me know.

Help appreciated.

It all depends on the quality and res you want, that shouldn't have any affect on the buildings. The 7cm ground texture is different from building texturing.

I am looking for best quality. The Texture Resolution 7cm (Under FSX Scenery settings) was actually concerning the scenery and not the buildings, apologize if that got confusing.

Let's say e.g. I am 200 ft AGL and I look down would I notice grainy scenery which has been downloaded @0 resolution.

A big apology to the forum as I made this thread in sim forum and not in FSX scenery forum, MOD please move it the correct forum.

Ok, this is for all the fellows from England, I have downloaded photoscenery using FSearthtiles around EGLC and got the greater-london.shp file and extracted the autogen - Trees and buildings, If any of you fellows have the EGLC photo scenery do let me know so I could provide you the autogen so you could test it out, I am not sure if the autogen is correct, I am still trying to figure out the GUID for POINTS which contain - traffic signals - bus stops - banks etc.... I am doing all this just in my free time :) when off work . I can see some tall buildings which are created at south of EGLC.
