July 27, 200421 yr I'm having a blast flying Milton's Howard 500 and put several hours on those twin 2,500 hp radials but I do have one question. I get overspeed warnings at 220 knots at 22,000 feet. All the documentation and the aircraft config file indicates that the max speed for that altitude should be 307 knots. Yes my flaps and gear are up, I'm properly trimmed and engine and prop settings are as per the checklist. Am I missing something obvious here or am I not doing something? July 27, 200421 yr Possibly the 307 knots is 307 knots true airspeed, not indicated? Check the GPS and see what your groundspeed is (set up weather to have no wind first). Lewis "Moose" GregoryColumbia, South CarolinaDVA 1427/Solent 644 Lewis "Moose" Gregory Durham, North Carolina
July 27, 200421 yr That was it Lewis, thanks. The GPS had my groundspeed at 311 knots but my indicated airspeed was 230 knots. I haven't thought in true airspeed in so long I almost forgot it existed. Willhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg
