Blue Sky Scenery Black Squares

For some reason I'm getting some black squares off the coast of Southern California with my Blue Sky scenery. The rest of the coast is fine. I've attached a screenshot if you can open it. The squares are not perfectly black just dark. They have some kind of texture, maybe even some clouds? Anybody know what might cause this?
