New Rig just for FSX

Featured Replies

I just finished getting fsx and all my addons moved over to my new PC it's a budget build (in college) so I used AMD parts which I like better than Intel. It really chews through FSX I can run full settings and stay smooth even in big citys with payware aircraft

Here's my new specs

BIOSTAR TA970XE Mobo

AMD FX-8350 black editon 4.0Ghz with 4.2 Ghz turbo I've read where these can overclock to 5Ghz safely with liquid cooling

Nivida 560TI 2GB (out of my old rig)

8GB Gskill Sniper at 1866Mhz

1TB hdd with 64mb cache

Corsair H60 Liquid cooler for overclocking

New copy of windows 7 will upgrade to 8 once all the problems are fixed.

800 watt Corsiar PSU (out of my old rig)

I'm not sure I'm gonna overclock since I can run everything maxed out and stay smooth I have not tried the NGX and my one payware airport FSdreamteam's KORD but I'm sure it'll be good so depending upon how it does, Ill decide if I'm gonna overclock or not.

I upgraded from a

Phenom II x4 3.6Ghz Deneb

6GB ram at 1333Mhz

Nivida 560TI 2gb

This system would run fsx smooth untill I'd fly the NGX out of O'hare even then it was flyable just not as smooth as glass.
