GaTraffic Help

Featured Replies

Hi... I have a problem with GaTraffic... it was working really well until I decided to try something... I converted all the planes I wanted as AI with the Make as AI feature... and deleted all the base aircraft so they wouldnt show up in the menu since I never fly them. Now, the only planes I get are the Learjet, the C208, and the C182, only one paint scheme of each. All the AI planes are selected to be used as AI, but they dont show up.

Hi,sounds strange. After you removed the not AI planes did you build a new flightplan? It isn't needed because 'GA-Traffic' should use the AI ones and not the base ones. Also try to rename the 'AircraftNames.dat' and 'AircraftTypes.dat' files to *.old and start 'GA-Traffic' again. This should do the work.If this still didn't help please contact me by PM or E-Mail.

Well it works... except it's completely dominated with the default C182S, C208, Lear, and PA-28. I guess this has to do with the probablility percentages? or the money per flight?

Actually... it seems that the only aircraft that show up are the ones that still have the base aircraft installed... the rest dont show up at all. Any ideas? I'll reinstall all those aircraft if i need to but you did say that it should use the AI ones and not need the base aircraft.

Hi Todd,I have tested it with the removed base aircraft. I didn't remove all based aircraft but 'GA-Traffic' should not distinct between flyable and non flyable planes. They only differ by a value in the .air file which isn't readed from 'GA-Traffic'.I think the problem must be at another point. One possibility is the money per week value. Could you post some screenshots of 'GA-Traffic' with a plane selected which didn't show up? Also please check the 'Aircraft-GA.txt' file if there the planes are in.

This reminds me...I still find that many intl' airports end up with a rather large amount of GA traffic even though the program attempts to eliminate this occurence. I've done away with the default traffic entirely, so that can't be the culprit.

Ronin, to solve this kick up the landing fees of the airports in question so that no one from ga-traffic will land there.Markus, thanks for the great program, I finally switched off my ulitimate traffic GA aircraft and just use only GA-Traffic generated flights for GA.

Markus I have another question regarding GA Traffic:Yesterday I downloaded (at the other big site) a new Gulfstream IV business jet, which is supposed to be special for AI-purposes. I installed this aircraft in FS9 and then started your fantastic GA-Traffic program. The new jet was recognized but it had a red cross in front, which means it was not supposed to be used for GA Traffic (I think the jet is too heavy as it is above the 14000 lbs in the settings page).Anyway I generated a new traffic file (as I made anyhow some changes on the usage of my other GA aircraft).Later in FS9 I found to my surprise that the new Gulfstream IV seems to appear at certain airports as AI-aircraft (I saw 4 at ULLI). I was wondering whether it is possible that GA Traffic has used the aircraft anyhow? I cannot imagine anything else.Walter

Hi Walter, didn't tested the Gulfstream IV, but if it has a red cross 'GA-Traffic' shouldn't use it. Maybe it has the same name as a already existing? If I have more time I will check this, but currently I'm very busy to make the US loocking right.....>Markus >>I have another question regarding GA Traffic:>>Yesterday I downloaded (at the other big site) a new>Gulfstream IV business jet, which is supposed to be special>for AI-purposes. Thanks Markus for the reply. No, I do not think that I have another aircraft with this or even a similar name.No problem, if you check it later, there is no hurry.Walter
