August 8, 200421 yr Been in love with those big tri-jets since growing up in the 80s. Matter of fact, my first airplane ride was an Eatern L-1011, ATL-LAX in 1982. Ah, memories. Back when tickets were 3 times the cost they are now, but air travel was still a big, fun, event.Anyway, I know the new fancy jets are the future, and I will own every quality model, but I'd love to buy a PMDG level classic.Gotta go fly a LAX-RNO in my 737-700!
August 8, 200421 yr There are plenty of freeware L-1011 and DC-10 aircraft, panels and soundsets that will keep you more than happy. Freeware INS systems too. You don't need to wait for payware, which to my knowledge is not on the cards anyway - the freeware is too good! August 8, 200421 yr Hey, this DC-10 looks great,,,,thanks a lot. How do ya get it to show up in FS2k4? I've tried everything, looks like it was designed for 2002. I tried the sounddll with no luck. I'm not even sure the dll is set up correctly in FS2k4, it would prompt during startup on my old install, not anymore. If you have time for a little help I'd be greatfull.
August 9, 200421 yr Mike Stone (pmstone.com, I think) has a freeware L-1011. I have great memories of flying on Eastern L-1011's in the late 70's as a kid. Always liked them better than the DC-10's.
August 10, 200421 yr Only the DC-10-30/-30F package will work properly in FS2004. All others should work ok, just not to the fullest exstent.

August 10, 200421 yr Unfortunately, the OMWINGS L-1011 panel is no longer free. That only lasted a few days (I believe) until the author found out he had to pay for data transmission. The panel is still available for a fee. www.omwings.com

October 6, 200421 yr I love flying Flightsofts 'big-bore triple'. Probably could've been improved somewhat, but its better then nothing I guess.
