I am looking to build another FSX pc using the i7 3930K. Ive been using ASUS Rampage series MB's for the last couple pc's and Im beginning to think Im overspending. While the OC utilities and cool running , etc is nice, I dont use most of the other features and Ive never been impressed with the USB stability.

Anyhow, looking for suggestions to other ASUS MB's that will allow smooth OC to approx 4.8 with Corsair H100i water cooling.

Have you checked Asus website? If you don't want a Rampage / Sabretooth enthusiast board you are pretty much left with the P9X79 range. The Asus site lets you do a side by side comparison so you can check whether you want / need the additional features that the Pro / Deluxe versions have over the base model.
