August 16, 200421 yr Any advice or comment from prior fltsimers who have flown this adventure would be greatly appreciated.I just finished downloading and installing David Dossiere's work for his around the world adventure (Thanks David). My starting point will be Martha's Vineyard. I may make my own starting point from KLWB to Martha's Garden being that it is relatively close(Home Airport). In considering this adventure, a few preliminary questions pop into my mind (I am sure there will be many more). 1. Without me wandering through all of the files, am I safe in assuming that all flights are IFR?2. I am considering trying to use the same bird for the entire flight debating between being patient enough to use the minimum aircraft capable of making the flight vs. some degree of efficency or speed. I realize that implementation of the same aircraft for all legs may be impossible regarding the next two questions, but if there is a compatible combination I would be interested in your findings.3. Considering #2 above, what is the longest leg in the program? Obviously, the aircraft will have to have a range capable of flying it.4. Also considering #2 above, what is the minimum runway length/altitude limitation? Obviously again, the aircraft will have to be capable of getting off of the runway with required fuel and landing under the local conditions.5. Has anyone tried to implement any VatSim communication in following these plans? If so, did you have language problems, or were you better off useing text? (I am a senior of whom my wife accuses of having retarded ears at times). I regret to say that I am one of those ignorant yanks that only speak english. I envy you throughout the world that speak several languages. If VatSim is available, is english at least in text available everywhere? (I realize the chances of catching VatSim online, but thought this might be an option on some legs at least.)Your comments would be appreciated.Happy flying:RTH
