DXTbmp : after modifying the DDS texture is larger in kb

Hi all,

 

To improve framerate I am resizing VC textures from several aircraft .

Eg : 4096x4096 to 2048x2048

 

Today I came across a texture where a word was written in the wrong way.

I modified the texture and saved it .

First it was 2049 kb and now it is 2731 kb.

 

The same with resizing :

 

First 4096x4096 --> 4896 kb

Now 2048x2048 --> 2731kb , instead of 2049kb.

 

No alpha channels with these textures.

 

 

All suggestions are welcome.

Found my own answer :

 

Making MipMaps was checked
