Terrain Load Problem

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,I don't know if this has happened to anyone before, and I have no idea how to begin searching for it, but I'm having a problem with the terrain loading after clicking "fly now." It used to work fine for me, but now I find that it loads the terrain in the blink of an eye according to the percent/bar. It, however, is not loading anything because as soon as my aircraft comes up, I, as well as ai aircraft and some random scenery elements (not sure specifically, but things like radio towers and some auto gen trees) am floating in a void of nothingness. My plane will either automatically crash or start up (similar to lifting the plane off with slew and releasing it) automatically. It's not that serious because I just hit reset flight and then it loads fine (albeit after a lot of time). If anyone has ANY suggestions, please put them forward! Thanks!-Cal

Happens to me when I switch tasks when FS loads the situation. The plane is in no man's land well above ground in a strange position, I can see no scenery but mostly blue around me, and then the aircraft crashes. After this, everything is normal. But I didn't have this in when I let FS load normally. Maybe you have a background program which draws the focus while FS loads?Andreas

Hm, that may be the case... Thanks Andreas! I do tend to play around with either my web browser or activesky while it loads, switching back and forth. Sounds straight forward enough and simple, so I'll make sure to try it next time. Thanks again!-Cal
