August 22, 200421 yr Hi All,I'm just getting back into flightsimming after being away from it for about a year. I'm using FS2002 mainly because I fly the PIC767 alot. I also enjoy GA aircraft (props) and fly the Cessna 421C. I'm thinking of adding another payware aircraft to the hanger and would appreciate some suggestions.....preferably for short and mid-range flights like a 737, CRJ, etc. My plans are not to upgrade to FS9 until PIC is upgraded and fully compatible. Thanks in advance,Lawrie
August 22, 200421 yr may i suggest the PSS A320 series it is on sale at the moment and when you upgrade to FS9 you will be able to take it with you. Also i think the PMDG 737 600/700 is FS2002 compatable, as well as the Flight One DC9 and Jet City DC9s.
August 22, 200421 yr Thanks...I was thinking about the A320. I think that the 737 will be more like the 767 I already have.Lawrie
August 23, 200421 yr Lawrie,You may want to try the 'Captain Sim' Legendary 727. Great looking aircraft plus a lot of freeware skins available. The registration process can be kind of a pain. Works great in FS2002, plus I believe they have made upgrades so you can use it in FS9 should you end up there.Have fun,Bob
August 23, 200421 yr If you have a good system (at least P4 2.4, 512 Ram, and a 128 Mb VC) go for the PMDG. The 736 and the 737 are FS2002 and FS2004 compatible and if you upgrade your FS8 to FS9 you can get the 738 and 739 upgrades. The AC is very real, has a perfect VC, and you can get the liveries in the PMDG site for free. There is a little problem about the PMDGs. The 736 and 737 models cost US$ 40 (for 40 dollars you get both) and the upgrade for the 738 and 739 costs abother 30.Anyway everyone that bought it, agrees that is the best add-on AC you can find at this moment.Leo
August 23, 200421 yr Great suggestions....thanks guys. I just got a new computer with alot of horsepower so I can run anything. I'll check out the aircraft suggested.Lawrie
