Questions and Feedback on new PC specs for FSX

Featured Replies

Hello Everyone,

I've gotten some feedback on the forum that has definitely saved me from trouble. I am about to order the following components from Newegg, and I wanted the members here to let me know what you think in terms of suitability for a multi-monitor (3 x 27" for outside view) 1 x 27" for PFDs. I have purchased the B737TQ from Throttletek, it arrives in April. I've bought an MCP and EFIS control panel when I was at the Aviation Megastore in AMS last month and have ordered the FMC from Cockpit Solutions (I think that's who it is..).

I am a bit space limited - this rig will be put in one of our master bedroom closets as the wife does not want to see it in the bedroom, hence the smaller monitors for the outside view.

Herewith the specs. I have read alot about the 2011 vs 1155 debate, I went with the 2011 since I can afford it now, and feel it is "future proof" as much as one can make something future proof these days... I appreciate any feedback good bad or indifferent... Note on the SSD - this is only an FSX machine nothing else will be run on it, hence I figured 240+ GB was enough.. if I am wrong, let me know....
