February 14, 201313 yr No effect assuming we are talking about the desktop. A lot of stuff in the Taskbar just slows loading at start but not so you would notice and not during program performance. Ever heard of a program called "Fences"? Check it out. Very nice for organizing your stuff on the desktop. Ron W
